Donate Plasma

This is probably one of the most common ways to make extra money. According to Donateplasma.org, “you must be 18 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds” to donate plasma. Donating plasma takes about an hour to complete and is similar to donating blood. If you contracted the Coronavirus, some places want your plasma so that they can look at the antibodies in it. According to Wallethacks.com, you can get about $20-$50 per time you donate plasma. This is a great way to make a little extra money, you are not only doing little to no work, but you are helping others who need it!

Participate in a Research Study

Depending on the research, you could get a hefty amount of cash for participating in a study. This entails you going to a place often academic or scientific, where they are trying to figure out the results of a question or product. Maybe it’s a cosmetic company seeing how hyaluronic acid reacts with the skin. Maybe it is how a certain mattress affects your sleep. It can be a bunch of different things, even ones that don’t include products. However, you have to be careful with these because you may be putting yourself in danger, and if there are high-risk factors, you may want to reconsider and do a different study.

Tutoring, Babysitting, and Pet-sitting

Right now, tutors are in high demand, especially for parents who are working on-site, and their children are virtual learning. Some parents just don’t have time to help out their kids with the new technology and do school work. You can set your own rates and have multiple tutees. You can also set your schedule, which is a big benefit if you have another job. Having a babysitter or pet-sitter are jobs that are always in demand. They are usually one-time gigs that are easy to do. There are higher qualifications for babysitting like being CPR certified or pass a background check, but those are easy to accomplish. Great places to start for these are Care.com and Rover.com

Clean Out Your Closet

If you have clothes in your closet that just do not fit anymore or don’t wear, you should sell them online! If they are in good condition or new, you can sell them on Poshmark.com or Facebook Marketplace. People are always looking for new items in their closet for a bargain price. Go through your closet and find out what things you can part with and which ones are in good enough shape to sell.

You can set up an online store through Etsy or some other selling service and reach your customers that way. Or, you could make a lot of products and have them locally sold at a nearby bazaar.

Invest in Stocks

Though the stock market can be a risky move, it can have a lot of rewards. You’ll want to invest in companies that are adding value so that you can earn more than you bought in at. Companies are constantly trying to improve and make more money. If you are a shareholder in that company, you will benefit from any good decision. Selling Aluminum Cans

If you are a big soda drinker, you might find yourself going through loads and loads of aluminum cans. Great news, you can sell them to your local recycling center! You’ll probably only get a few cents a can, but if you save them up over time, you could get a lot more money all at once. Usually, they require that the cans have been crushed and put in a clear plastic bag. This is not the case for all recycling centers, however. You can also collect aluminum cans by cleaning up your local park or somewhere along a highway. Often times, people will just leave their empties around instead of throwing them away or recycling them. Not only will you be making some extra money, but you’ll be helping the environment!
